Grant Denyer and Dipper caught in heated exchange

Tension has flared up between Grant Denyer and Dipper on I’m A Celeb.

The two celebs had a tense confrontation in a scene that showed Dipper threatening Denyer after he fell asleep while cooking rice and beans for the campmates' lunch.

Dipper did his best to salvage the food, but his fellow stars were less than impressed.

“Oh my god, this is bad,” Paulini said.

“I’ll eat anything, but I won’t eat that,” Ash Williams said.

“That was the worst rice I’ve ever tasted.”

“Honestly, I cannot believe how bad two ingredients taste,” Abbie Chatfield said.

An annoyed Denyer had a dig at Dipper, saying: “Hey Dip, that food’s no good, man. Not a good start, mate. We can’t afford to miss a meal. I think if we’re on cooking duties we need to be up and awake.”

Dipper did not say a word to Denyer, and simply turned his back and walked away.

Travis Varcoe later informed Dipper: “The guys are a little bit upset about the rice.”

The former AFL legend was angry that people were talking behind his back, and he later stood up in front of the group to clear the air.

“Has anybody else got something to say to anybody here?” Dipper said.

“Let’s get it all out. Anybody? If you’ve got something to say, speak up.”

Denyer assumed the comment was aimed at him and replied: “Hey Dip, are you angry at me for saying something about lunch?”

“You did say something … I thought that was a little bit personal,” Dipper said.

“At the end of the day, I’ll take responsibility.”

“I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings or anything,” Denyer said.

“None of us want to lose an entire meal, that’s all.”

Dipper didn’t take the comment very well, responding: “No, but say it one more time (and) I’ll come and see you over there.”

“Are you serious?” Denyer said.

“Let’s just leave it at that, all right, Grant Denyer,” Dipper told him.

The tense stand-off is one of the few scenes of conflict viewers have seen this season.

Network Ten’s head of entertainment and factual programs Stephen Tate told news.com.au this year’s cast was the closest he’d ever seen.

“There’s probably less conflict on this series but I think that’s probably a good thing given the current environment,” he said.

“We kind of noticed it after the first week or so that the cast had gelled in a way that perhaps that other casts didn’t quite do or took longer to do.”

Pete Evans dumped by Channel 10

Pete Evans will not be appearing on the next season of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! after intense social media backlash.

The beloved chef turned conspiracy theorist is confirmed to not be reappearing on the show as it gears up to start filming next week.

“Network 10 can confirm that Pete Evans will not be appearing on this season of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!” a Ten spokesperson told news.com.au.

It follows after the Byron Bay-based chef and author made comments that seemed to suggest humans are not capable of spreading COVID-19.

He also shared a cartoon that included a drawing of the Black Sun symbol from Nazi Germany, but quickly deleted it after intense backlash.

He publicly apologised however and claimed he had no idea of the symbol’s historical significance.

Pete Evans has changed...

...from serving up food...
...to serving up conspiracy theories...
...to serving up cartoons containing nazi symbolism.

If you, your friends, or family follow him on social media, it’s time to unfollow. Karl Stefanovic labels Richard Reid “tosser of the highest order”

Today morning show star Karl Stefanovic and occasional Studio 10 co-host Richard Reid have appeared on Kyle and Jackie O’s radio show to blast each other.

Stefanovic appeared on the KIIS FM’s breakfast show when he was asked how he had first felt when Reid revealed on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! last year that the Today star had “hair plugs”.

“So I go into the hair room, and this guy looks up and he’s kinda like balding. It was Karl Stefanovic without his spray-on hair … And then he went away and got hair plugs,” Reid said in the jungle.

Well, it appears the Stefanovic took the I’m A Celeb star’s words to heart as he said he was “a tosser of the highest order”.

“Richard and I have had a beautiful relationship over many years,” Stefanovic said to Kyle and Jackie O. “I never really saw him in person because he was always too busy flapping about.

“When he said it (on I’m A Celeb) … I just thought, ‘You’re just a tosser! Richard Reid is a tosser of the highest order!’”

Kyle and Jackie O proceeded to ring Reid after Karl’s segment ended to ask his thoughts on the “tosser” comments.

“I think it might be a little stretch that our relationship was beautiful,” Reid said.

“You two don’t like each other?” Kyle asked.

“I like Karl just fine,” Reid replied. “I like him just fine, in small doses. I don’t have a problem with Karl … not much.”

When asked why he had a bad relationship with Stefanovic, Reid went on to say: “Karl got a little full of himself. He started talking about himself in the third person. I just like everyone to be down to earth and accessible. He just got a little full of himself and I didn’t really care for that.”

Reid also had a dig at the Today show’s poor ratings over the past few years, saying, “I kind of turned off like the rest of Australia”.

Karl Stefanovic is currently back on air as host of the Today show after quitting back in 2018, alongside Allison Langdon. Richard Reid, who won I’m A Celeb last year, is a regular co-host on Studio 10.

"It's insensitive": Australia Day debate breaks out on I'm A Celebrity

Former Great Outdoors host Tom Williams and recently retired AFL player Dale Thomas have weighed in on the heavily controversial Australia Day to argue whether either find the holiday “insensitive” or not.

Thursday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here showed that while Myf Warhurst and MAFS’ Ryan Gallagher agree the date of the national holiday should be changed from January 26 out of respect – Tom and Dale took it one step further.

As reported by Yahoo Lifestyle, Tom said he preferred for Prime Minister Scott Morrison to call a referendum in order to decide if the change should go ahead but Dale said he found it unnecessary.

“It could be a good thing for Scott Morrison to turn around and say, ‘I’ve heard you all, let’s have a referendum,” Tom, a carpenter by trade, proposed.

“Or even, go one further and just say ‘We’re doing it,’” Dale responded.

Tom quickly agreed with his fellow contestant’s proposal, however said there would likely be an intense backlash that would be similar to the one Australia saw when it was announced Uluru would be closed to climbers.

“Yeah, you’re right, mate 100 per cent... it’ll end up like Uluru, a whole bunch of white people racing up there going ‘It’s my right!’ It’s like... ‘No, it’s not mate,’” he says.

Dale said he wants Non-Indigenous Australians to understand the difficult and traumatic relationship between the date January 26 and Indigenous people.

For many, Australia Day is referred to as Invasion or Survival Day.

“For too long we haven’t understood this day for what it was, it was insensitive of us to put it here. We still want a day to celebrate our country and everything that’s great with it, so let’s move it,” he said.

I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! airs 7.30 pm Sunday to Thursday on 10.

Katherine Kelly Lang and Richard Reid reveal what Ellen is really like: "She's not that nice"

Two teammates on the Australian reality TV series I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here shared a surprising revelation in the jungle on Wednesday night.

The episode featured some revealing comments from the Bold And The Beautiful star, Katherine Kelly Lang and notorious entertainment reporter Richard Reid while they discussed who they thought the worst celebrity to work with was.

The conversation started with Gogglebox Australia's Angie Kent asking Reid who else was a “moll” in Hollywood.

“Ellen, not nice,” the reporter replied.

“Ellen who?” Bold And The Beautiful star Lang asked to which Reid responded: “DeGeneres.”

Lang was not surprised by this claim, admitting she had “heard that before” about the US talk show host.

“She’s great to watch and on her show and everything, but I think her personality is completely different when you get her behind the scenes,” Lang said.

“I heard it’s hard to work on her show,” Reid claimed.

“Oh, because she’s bossy or something?” the American actress asked, which Reid nodded in agreement.

Kent failed to hide her shock, saying it was “really disappointing” to find out cult favourite DeGeneres had a bad reputation.

This is not the first time rumours have swirled around working with DeGeneres. Over the years the TV personality has had to clarify allegations of being a questionable character to work with off-camera.

“That bugs me if someone is saying that because it’s an outright lie,” DeGeneres said, disarming all the rumours in an interview with the New York Times.

“The first day I said: ‘The one thing I want is everyone here to be happy and proud of where they work, and if not, don’t work here.’"

The talk-show star added about her workplace conditions, “No one is going to raise their voice or not be grateful. That’s the rule to this day.”
